Eli’s love for hair and beauty started before she ever realized. Always being the girl styling her dolls hair or being the girl on teams to braid everyone’s hair. In 2006, Eli began her career in the beauty industry as a front desk concierge of a day spa and salon in Fayetteville, NC. In 2009, after a push from the hairstylist she worked with and after working on the business side of the beauty industry for a few years she decided to go to Paul Mitchell the School-Fayetteville. Constantly striving to make people feel happy and good about themselves is what makes the beauty industry not a just a career for her but a continuous passion. Her desire to learn new creative hair techniques is what keeps her inspired.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A STYLIST?
Ive been a hairstylist since 2009!

WHY DID YOU WANT TO BECOME A STYLIST?
I became a hairstylist because of the ability this industry gives each person to maintain individuality. I’ve always dressed and wore my hair just a little different and this profession allows me to not truly have to ‘grow up.’ I am a preacher of being yourself and this allows me to impact people’s lives in a positive way.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE HAIR DO OF ALL TIME?
I tend to draw to unique hair but that doesn’t mean i don’t love the classics just the same. Dreads, bright rainbow colors, and bridal hair have been a specialty of mine for over 5 years now but I love the process of a beautiful blended foil or sun-kissed balayage all the same.

WHO IS YOUR CELEBRITY HAIR ICON?
I’m drawn to the stand out, independent women like Debbie Harry, Joan Jett, Pink, and Lady Gaga. Its inspiring to see success even with their differences.
